Professional and Experienced Staff in China and Worldwide
World Link Education is an international organization with offices in 7 countries around the world to assist students before, during and after the studies.
In China, WLE has the most fulltime onsite staff compared to
any other study abroad organization. Today, with over a thousand students studying in our China programs,
WLE has 58 fulltime international and local student support staff.
Our Beijing team comprise of Academic Directors (Resident Director, Director of Studies, Academic Director, and Corporate Programs Director), 12 fulltime Study Advisors, 8 student support service coordinators onsite, and 3 events and social coordinators. Our staff are multilingual, highly experience in Chinese Language training and directly employed by WLE. Our experience is reflected by the fact that at least one third of WLE’s staff has worked for over 5 years in the China programs.
PROFESSOR WANG JIAN
Chief Representative
Professor Wang is WLE's Chief Representative; he is responsible for WLE's legal, government and corporate affairs in China. Apart from this position, Professor Wang serves as a Deputy member of the Beijing People's Congress. As a professor of International Business at the University of International Business and Economics, Professor Wang is one of the senior appointed lecturers of WLE's China Business programs. Professor Wang's extensive work and academic experience has been an invaluable source of knowledge regarding China's business and political developments for WLE students, particularly those participating in the China Business program.

JANALYN FROESE

Janalyn is originally from the United States and graduated from California State University. She has a broad international experience and has over the years lived in countries such as the US, China, France, Zimbabwe and South Africa. With her passion for traveling and experiencing new cultures she has chosen to specialize in language study programs around the world. Prior to joining the WLE Beijing team in 2004 she worked for the World Link Education Seattle office.
Her present responsibilities include developing and maintaining the Chinese Language and Internship program. As an active member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Beijing she is a valuable resource to students who want to become further connected to the local American business community.

JOANNA ZHOU

Joanna was born in Beijing and has a BA in Economics from the Central University of Finance and Economics and an MA in Chinese Literature from Beijing Normal University. Having been with WLE since 2001, Joanna is skillful in all areas and is responsible for Chinese Language Programs applications. Before joining the WLE team, Joanna worked at the Treasury and Securities Department of a major telecom company for two years. In her free time she enjoys reading, cooking and exploring different areas of thought. She speaks Chinese and English. |

Laurianne is originally from France and has been living in China since
2003. She has been not only studying Mandarin in Shanghai and Beijing but
also has work experience in a multicultural environment in China. Laurianne’s responsibilities at WLE include managing the Chinese Language,
Business and Internship Programs. With her extensive background in both
Chinese language studies and living in China she is a valuable asset to
students as they orient themselves both academically and socially in
China. Laurianne speaks fluent Mandarin, English and French.

EVELYN ZHANG
张亚灵

Born in Fujian, Evelyn graduated from Beijing Normal University with a Master’s Degree in Russian Literature. In 1988, she started her teaching career at Henan University and was a senior teacher at Dongnan University in Nanjing. In 1998, Evelyn worked in Moscow and taught Chinese at Moscow University. Since 2002, she has been teaching Chinese as a foreign language at the Academy of Chinese Language Study and has been the Head Teacher since 2003. Evelyn speaks Mandarin, English and Russian. |

Trillion was born in Liaocheng City, Shandong Province. He graduated from Yantai Normal University with a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Shanghai University with a master’s degree in Law. Trillion worked at the University of International Business and Economics as a Chinese Language teacher before joining the Academy of Chinese Language Study in 2001. In his spare time, he enjoys writing and watching sports matches on TV. Trillion speaks Mandarin and English. |

A native of the Shanxi province, Jim graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Technology degree, majoring in Computer Science, from the Central University of China. Jim manages the WLE Beijing office in the Haidian district and also oversees the Martial Arts Programs. He speaks Mandarin and English. |

Deborah is a native Beijinger. She studied English for three years and before joining the WLE team, she worked in the sales department of an international hotel. She is currently preparing for the college graduate level examination to major in English and minor in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. Deborah helps students with their visas, hotel accommodation, weekend activities, and orientation day preparation. After getting her driver’s license, Deborah looks forward to driving throughout China. On the weekends, she likes to play badminton, shop, and is always on the look-out for good restaurants to introduce to students. |

Christy comes from Henan province and studied at the Central Party University in Beijing with a bachelor’s degree in English. She began working at WLE in her senior year of university. Her main duties at the Chaoyang Campus include apartment accommodation, insurance, and electives. At university she enjoyed running every morning and playing badminton, but now her husband and Christy enjoy taking walks in the evening together with their young child. When she has the opportunity, she likes to go to the Fragrant Hills on the outskirts of Beijing to go hiking. |

Seven was born in Tai’an, Shandong Province, where the famous Tai Shan Mountain is located. Her name comes from her birthday, July the 7th, and is also her lucky number. After graduating from Tai’an Teachers’ College, she was a middle school English teacher for 3 years. In 2002 she came to Beijing to continue her studies at Beijing Foreign Studies University. She graduated with bachelor’s degree in English Language in 2004. She speaks Mandarin and English.
She joined the WLE team in October 2005 as a Front Desk Consultant. She helps students with inquiries regarding their studies as well as general information about Beijing. In her spare time, she likes listening to music, surfing the internet and playing sports. On the weekends, she likes watching movies, bowling, or playing badminton with her friends. |

Catherine is from Guizhou province. She graduated from the Central Party University in 2004 with a major in English. Before joining WLE, she worked as a Chinese language tutor as well as an English Speaking teacher for children. She is in charge of the Haidian Campus’ apartment accommodation, airport pickup, insurance, electives, and Language Exchange Partner activities. In her free time, she likes to go to the library to read. She’s interested in many different areas, but especially enjoys humorous novels and books on psychology. Catherine speaks Mandarin, English, and a bit of Germany. |

Grace is from Inner Mongolia and majored in English at the University of Science and Technology in Beijing for four years prior to joining us. Being a very active person and with her fluency in both Mandarin and English, she can provide great insight into Chinese life in and out of Beijing. In her spare time she likes playing tennis and indulging in dark chocolate. Always willing to help, Grace is responsible for homestay accommodation for students at the Haidian and Chaoyang Campus and coordinates the BLCU Program. |
