The information below is provided by International SOS to all World Link Education Participants outlining the International SOS Membership: The Beijing AEA International Clinic opened in December 1994 and is available exclusively to International SOS members. It is the only clinic in China which has a Clinic, Dental Clinic and Alarm Center adjacent to each other enabling us to provide the best possible western medical assistance 24 hours a day 7 days a week for Emergencies, Medical Advice, Doctor Referrals, Vaccination Recommendations, Travel Health Advice, Referrals to Hospitals throughout China, House Calls and Translation Services.
World Link Education participants have International SOS membership during the program duration. This membership gives you access to medical advice and assistance 24 hours a day by foreign doctors located in China and the following range of services offered by ISOS.
If you have ANY questions of a medical nature, or are sick, please call one of International SOS's 24 Hour Alarm Centres and request to speak to a doctor. You will be asked for your name, the telephone number you are calling from and if you are a member (please provide the membership number on this card).
As a member of International SOS, you should have a card. On the back of your card, you will find the contact numbers for SOS clinics and Alarm Centers worldwide. Kindly note that in China we have:

III- ACCESS TO INTERNATIONAL SOS CLINICS GLOBALLY
As a member you have access to International SOS clinics fee for services or prepaid program on a global basis. Clinic services are provided at membership pricing.
II. MEDICAL EVACUATION
In the event of emergency, it is vital that you call one of the following Alarm Centers in China:

Our doctors must be alerted immediately of your emergency to be involved from the very beginning. Once you call the Alarm Center, our doctor might have first to stabilize you in one of our partner Chinese hospitals. Then they will get in touch with the hospital to arrange for your admission, guarantee the hospital deposit and the medical expenses. Our medical team will assess the case and arrange for your medical evacuation or repatriation from the place of accident or sickness to the nearest medical facility responding to a reasonable expectation of satisfactory care and treatment. All of the above is to be done in conjunction with the WLE office, and your insurance. International SOS will not pay for a medical evacuation if it is required, your health insurance will need to cover medical evacuation costs. In Beijing, the office hours are Monday to Saturday from 9'00 to 18'00.
Our clinic in Beijing is equipped with:

 Our medical team comprises foreign doctors, Chinese doctors and nurses. We currently have 80 Employees supporting the 24-hour alarm center in Beijing, 343 Emergency Medical Evacuations Performed in 1998 and 1705 Total International SOS Cases in 1998. The Beijing Clinic facilitates a pharmacy, laboratory, x-ray, Dental Clinic, 6 Bed Emergency Ward, 14 Exam Rooms, International Standard Ambulance Health Screening Services, Ultrasound Equipment, Electro-Cardiographic Monitoring Equipment and First Aid Training provided by 13 Expatriate Doctors, 3 Expatriate Dentists, 15 Resident Chinese Doctors, 20 Chinese Nurses, and 2 Expatriate Nurse Escorts.
